Salary: Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹18,500/- per month during the one-year training period. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Junior Technician (W-3) with a pay scale of ₹21,500–3%–74,000 (IDA).
Selection Process: The selection process includes a Written Test followed by a Trade Test. The Written Test is of two hours duration and consists of two parts:
- Part-I: Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions related to the respective discipline.
- Part-II: General Aptitude Test with 50 questions covering vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables, numerical ability, etc.
To qualify, candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 30% marks (Part I & II combined) for this reserved vacancy. Negative marks (¼ the marks for each wrong/multiple choice) will be deducted for wrong answers.
Candidates qualifying the Written Test will be called for a Trade Test on a merit basis. The Trade Test for the post of Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical) will be qualifying in nature and includes tower climbing.
Applicants have the option to appear for the Written Test in HINDI and ENGLISH.
