L&T embarked on the journey to promote Construction Vocational Training (CVT) in India by establishing the pioneering Construction Skills Training Institute (CSTI) in Chennai in the late 1995.
For over a decade, CSTI has been instrumental in nurturing a proficient workforce through meticulously structured training programs. These programs facilitate the continuous enhancement of knowledge and competencies for both novice entrants and seasoned workers in the industry. Construction skill standards are meticulously formulated for various trades, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and skills required at each competency level. Moreover, diverse trade tests are specified to accurately assess the acquired knowledge and skill proficiency.
